  Aims & Scope

The Allergo Journal publishes original articles, reviews and case reports, guidelines and position papers in German and English. The topics concern allergological and immunological clinical pictures, current developments in diagnosis and therapy, research work concerning antigens and allergens and aspects related to occupational and environmental medicine. The quality of the contributions is guaranteed by an international board of editors; all contributions will be reviewed by at least two independent peers.

The Allergo Journal does not solely deal with scientific developments in allergology but also with the daily practice of allergologists. Therefore, in a dedicated section, there are articles concerning the latest developments in diagnosis, therapy and prevention based on the international literature and congress reports, and where questions with regard to professional and organisational politics are discussed. In this respect, the Allergo Journal is interdisciplinary inasmuch as it reaches out to dermatologists, pneumologists, otorhinolaryngologists, paediatricians, internists and general practitioners.
The Allergo Journal is the official organ of the German Society for Allergology and Clinical Immunology (DGAI) and of the professional Association of German Allergologists [Ärzteverband der Deutschen Allergologen (ÄDA) e. V].

In addition to the regular eight issues per year, supplements with regard to meetings concerning allergology are published.
